Mission Statement
The Department of Physician Assistant Studies within the School of Allied Health Sciences at East Carolina University exists to educate a culturally diverse student population as entry-level providers of cost-effective health care, who will practice the art and science of medicine with physician supervision and who will deliver primary health care to the residents of Eastern North Carolina
